Port Introduction

Commercial port and terminal in the Canary Islands off the coast of Northwest Africa. Located on the northeast coast of Gran Canaria Island in the southeast of the archipelago, southeast of the port city. It is about 260 kilometers east of the African continent. It is 529 nautical miles northeast of Casablanca Port, 700 nautical miles from Gibraltar Port, 711 nautical miles north of Lisbon Port, 1550 nautical miles from Le Havre Port, 835 nautical miles south of Dakar Port, and 3520 nautical miles southwest of Rio de Janeiro Port. The port is surrounded by north and south breakwaters, and ships enter from the south. The western harbor area of the Grand Marshal's seawall is called the inner harbor, and the eastern harbor is called the outer harbor. There are two southward extending piers in the northern part of the inner harbor, known as the Lulaz Pier to the east, with a circumference of 1200 meters and a depth of 11 meters. It is the main commercial dock for ocean going ships, and to the west is the coastal trading ship and fishing boat dock; There are still many berths on the east coast of the inner harbor, but the water depth is relatively shallow. The outer harbor is divided into south and north harbors, separated by southeast and northwest facing breakwaters. There is an oil tanker berth in the middle section of the inner side of the Nangangchi breakwater, with a water depth of 22 meters; The western coastline is the main commercial terminal used for containers and roll on/roll off ships, with a water depth of 12 meters. There are over 20 deep-water ocean going berths in Hong Kong, making it the largest commercial trading port in the Canary Islands. Due to its status as a free trade port and strategic location on the North South Atlantic route, it attracts numerous ships to enter the port.
