Port Introduction
Puerto Rico's northwestern port. The maximum draft is 10.97 meters, and the load density of water is 1025. The tidal range is 0.61 meters, with prevailing easterly winds. Compulsory pilotage is provided by the MAYAGUEZ navigation station. The communication method and required documents for entry shall refer to LAS MAREAS port. Open anchorage, located at the northwest tip of the island in Aguardilla Bay. The maximum allowed captain is 182.88 meters, with no limit on draft. The port service facilities include small boats, medical equipment, fresh water, and repatriation, but there are no ship repairs, refueling, dry docks, towing, sewage discharge, or supplies. There is a subsea oil pipeline between the mooring buoy in the harbor and the dock platform. The oil tanker is loading and unloading at the mooring buoy. These oil tankers mainly provide various fuel oils for nearby airports (Bolingquan Airport). In addition, there is a 10 inch diameter pipeline used to transport syrup and sugar. Transport 500 tons of syrup and 66 tons of sugar per hour.
