SETUBAL

Located at the top of SETUBAL Bay on the western coast of Portugal (full name: THE PORTUGUESE REPUBLIC), on the north bank of the SADO estuary, it is one of the main seaports in Portugal. The port is about 90km away from the airport. The port has a subtropical Mediterranean climate with prevailing westerly winds. The annual average temperature is highest in August at around 33 ℃ and lowest in January at around 2 ℃. The average annual rainfall is about 1100mm. The average tidal height is 3.4m for high tide and 2.7m for low tide. The main import goods are coal, apatite, tinplate and fertilizer, while the export goods are mainly cement, iron ore, salt, sardine, superphosphate, fish meat, wood, pulp and canned fish. The annual cargo throughput capacity is about 5 million tons. During holidays, work is generally not arranged, except with the consent of the Hong Kong authorities.
