Port Introduction

NOUMEA is a commercial port in New Caledonia, located on the southeast western side of the Micronesian Island Arc in the South Pacific and the southwest side of the southeast of New Caledonia Island. NOUMEA is located northwest, 825 nautical miles southwest of Brisbane Port in Australia, 1067 nautical miles northwest of Sydney Port, approximately 400 nautical miles northwest of Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, and 730 nautical miles northwest of Suva Port in Fiji. The NOMEA port area is located in the north and south of a small peninsula in Western Turkestan, with the northwest southeast of the LOU Island as its barrier. The small peninsula is its main dock, with the large port area to the north, and ships enter from the northwest; The north side of the southeast main dock in the port area has a water depth of 10-10.5 meters, a length of 694 meters, and a total of 4 berths; There are three shore cranes on the dock; Northwest Wharf, located northwest of the upper depression, has a total length of 379 meters and a water depth of 9-10 meters. It is used for exporting metal products and has a nickel smelting plant at the rear. To the north of the northwest dock is a bay that is recessed into the land shore, and there are three berths on the south bank of the bay, north of the nickel plant; There is a cement dock at the protruding cape on the northern shore of the bay. In the northwest coastal depression of DAMES Bay, there is a "T" - shaped oil boom and mooring buoy, with a water depth of 12 meters and an oil depot at the rear; There is also an offshore oil tanker berth at the western entrance, with a water depth of 16.8 meters. There are fishing boats and a coastal dock built in the southern part of NOU Island in Dagang District. To the south of the main dock on the small peninsula is the small port area, where ships enter from the southwest. The north bank of the small port, which is the south side of the main dock, has a dock line of 428 meters, but the water depth is only 5.5-7.0 meters. Together with the north side dock, it is a general cargo and container terminal; The eastern shore dock line is 330 meters long and serves as a coastal trading ship dock with a water depth of 3.5-5.5 meters; There is also a passenger terminal on the south side, which is 75 meters long but can reach a water depth of 9.5 meters. NOUMEA has over 20 intermediate and above berths in Hong Kong, exporting agricultural and mineral products, especially nickel ore. New Caledonia has the world's richest nickel deposits, accounting for about 1/6 of the world's total reserves, with an annual output of 60000 tons, ranking fourth in the world; Import petroleum industry products, etc.
