Port Introduction

Malaysian commercial port. Located in the northern part of Kalimantan Island, on the west coast of Sabah, East Malaysia, facing the South China Sea. 108 nautical miles east of Jeddah Port, 277 nautical miles west of Sandakan Port, 77 nautical miles west of Labuan Port, 463 nautical miles west of Kuching Port, and 815 nautical miles west of Singapore Port. The port area extends from southwest to northeast, with the dock extending from land to northwest to the sea surface. There are two new and old docks, the old dock is a "T" - shaped protruding embankment located in the southwest, with a top length of 197 meters and a minimum water depth of 7.8 meters; The east inner side is 145 meters long, with a minimum water depth of 6.5 meters, and there are two warehouses totaling 5400 square meters behind it. The new dock is basketball rack style, with two seawalls extending towards the sea surface. The top dock area is 213.4 meters by 121.9 meters, and ships can dock on the northwest, northeast, and southwest sides. The water depth of the northwest front is 9.1 meters, and the water depth of the front on both sides is 7.8 meters. There is a warehouse of only 7000 square meters on the south side of the rear, as well as numerous open-air storage yards. To the east of the new dock, there is also a 91 meter arm shaped wharf for ships with a draft of 5.5 meters and a ramp wharf for roll on/roll off ships. There is also a butterfly oil terminal located 5 nautical miles away from the northeast coast, which can accommodate 30000 ton oil tankers. The average tide rise at the port is 1.5 meters, and the low tide is 0.6 meters. There are no wind facilities outside the port, and in case of north wind, it will affect operations.
