Port Introduction
Greenville is a city in the West African country of Liberia and the capital of Sinoe County. It is located on the western Atlantic coast of the country, about 150 kilometers from the capital city of Monrovia. The city was founded in 1838 and has an elevation of 5 meters. As of 2008, the population was 16434. Greenville is named after American Judge James Green, who was a former slave owner in Mississippi and one of the first Americans to settle free black people in Liberia.
