Port Introduction

Japanese commercial port. Located in the southwest of Honshu, at the top of Hiroshima Bay in the Ota River Delta, it is the largest port in Hiroshima Prefecture. Southeast to Wugang 6 nautical miles, south to Songshan Port 34 nautical miles, to Jiyi Waterway 153 nautical miles, southwest to Iwakuni Port 11 nautical miles, to Kitakyushu Moji Port 100 nautical miles. It is the main port of Hiroshima Prefecture. Hiroshima Bay is a natural bay that extends northward in the Seto Inland Sea. It is surrounded by islands such as Miyajima, Nishinomi Island, and Edo Island that block wind and waves. The bay experiences a tidal rise of 3.4 meters during high tide and 2.6 meters during low tide, with an average sea level of 2.0 meters. There are many port areas distributed along the coast of the harbor. To the west are the Wood Port of Twentieth Day City, the Fishing Port of Wuri City, and the Caojin Fishing Port. To the east are the Haitianwan Port. The tributaries of the Datian River estuary flow through the city and form many harbor branches. The main foreign trade terminal of the port is GAIBO Terminal in Donggang District, located at the mouth of Haili Bay in the southeast of the port city and north of Jinlun Island. The terminal extends east-west and has four shore berths, each 170 meters long, with a front water depth of 10 meters, which can reliably accommodate ships with a draft of less than 9.7 meters. In addition, there are a total of 5 berths with a water depth of over 10 meters at the Wood Code Port and Pile Timber Port on the east bank of Xigang District, with a dock line length of 185-370 meters, which are also open to external ships.
