View MorePort Introduction
Japan International Trade Port. Located in the northwest of Hakata Bay in Kyushu, western Japan, adjacent to Fukuoka City, it is 126 nautical miles west of Sasebo, about 500 nautical miles west of Shanghai, about 120 nautical miles northwest of Busan, and about 60 nautical miles northwest of Kitakyushu. It is adjacent to the international waterway of the Korea Strait. The port is a natural harbor with a peninsula and islands as barriers. The water depth, low waves, and width inside the port allow ships to enter through the waterway between Laohe Island and Nengku Island. At present, the harbor is only developed in the central area near the city center, with two breakwaters protecting it. There are currently three commercial docks in the port: from southwest to northeast is the Suqi Tudi Dock, with 10 berths on both sides, a dock line length of 1380 meters, a water depth of 5.5-11.3 meters, deep in the east and shallow in the west, and deep outside and shallow inside; Central Pier, 8 berths, with a dock line length of 1410 meters and a water depth of 7.5-10.5 meters, deep in the west and shallow in the east; Hakozaki Port, with 10 berths, a total length of 1555 meters of dock line, and a water depth of 7.5-10.0 meters. Among the 28 commercial berths in Hong Kong, there are 11 10000 ton berths, including one container berth (Container Terminal 5 berth) for loading and unloading 90000 TEUs.
