It is the largest port in Germany and the second largest container port in Europe. Founded in 1189, it has a history of over 800 years and has developed into the world's largest free port. At the center of the free port is the world's largest warehouse city, covering an area of 500000 square meters. It is different from other seaports in that it is located at the center of the European market, including the European Community, the European Free Trade Association, and the Economic Cooperation Council, making it the most important transit port in Europe. It is an important railway and aviation hub in Germany, with the city spanning both sides of the Elbe River. The city's waterways are crisscrossed with multiple bridges, and there is a cross tunnel connecting to the bottom of the Elbe River. Loading and unloading machinery and capabilities: Loading and unloading equipment includes various shore cranes, bridge cranes, mobile cranes, grab cranes, truck cranes, floating cranes, suction hoists, conveyor belts, forklifts, and roll on/roll off facilities, among which the maximum lifting capacity of the floating crane is 1200 tons. The efficiency of loading and unloading grains by the suction hoist is 1300 tons per hour. At Europa Container Terminal, there is a super Panamax container loading and unloading bridge with a load of 80 tons. The crane arm extends a span of 48 meters outside the shore railway and can be extended inward by 23.5 meters. At a lifting height of 31 meters, the lifting load is 68 tons.
