Route: Located on the northeast coast of the LION Bay on the southeast coast of France (full name: THE REPUBLIC OF FRANCE), adjacent to the northwest side of the Mediterranean Sea, including ports such as FOS and BOUC, it is the largest seaport in France. The port is backed by mountains and facing the sea, without strong tides and currents. The waterway is safe and navigable day and night, making it a natural harbor. Founded in 600 BC by the Greeks, this ancient city has developed into the largest commercial port in the Mediterranean, the third largest port in Europe, and one of the world's major passenger ports. Hong Kong is not only a hub for highways, railways, and aviation, but also developed in industry and commerce. The main industries include refining, textiles, food, petrochemicals, shipbuilding, and machinery. It is the second largest chemical industry zone in Europe (after Rotterdam) and concentrates 40% of France's petroleum processing industry. The scenery is beautiful, the climate is charming, there are many churches, museums and other famous historical sites, and it is also a tourist destination. The port has a subtropical Mediterranean climate, with prevailing northwest winds and mostly south to southwest winds in summer. The highest annual average temperature is 33 ℃, and the lowest is about 11 ℃. The average annual rainfall is about 700mm. The average tidal range is 0.4m for high tide and 0.3m for low tide. The port includes four ports: Marseilles, FOS, BOUC, and St. Louis de Rhone. The total length of the dock shoreline is over 70 kilometers. The loading and unloading equipment includes various shore cranes, gantry cranes, mobile cranes, grab cranes, container cranes, floating cranes, cross loading vehicles, forklifts, trailers, and roll on/roll off facilities. Among them, the floating crane has a lifting capacity of 600 tons and a diameter of 406.4~1066.8mm. The oil pipeline is used for loading and unloading oil. Marseille Port Area: mainly for bulk cargo and roll on/roll off terminals, with a maximum reliable capacity of 80000 deadweight tons for ships. The coal loading and unloading efficiency is 22000 tons per day, 18000 tons per day, and the yard capacity is 1 million tons. The refrigerated warehouse for vegetables and fruits is equipped with an automatic unloading conveyor belt connected to the cabin. Fox Port Area: A newly built deep-water port area in 1965, it is the world's top natural gas transportation port. The port area is wide, modern, and has a water depth of up to 24 meters. There are large refineries, steel plants, and petrochemical enterprises near the port area. The maximum reliable berth in the port area is a 300000 deadweight ton super oil tanker. The oil terminal is connected to the refinery and oil depot through oil pipelines, with an unloading capacity of about 1.7 cubic meters per hour. The total capacity of the oil depot is 5.61 million cubic meters. The annual transportation capacity of the oil pipeline in the port reaches 90 million tons. The container terminal has a water depth of 15m, a 45 ton gantry crane, and a yard area of 270000 square meters; The depth of the ore terminal is up to 20m, with a maximum reliable capacity of 180000 deadweight tons for ships, unloading about 2000 tons per hour, and a storage capacity of 1 million tons of ore. Booker Port Area: mainly a liquefied gas terminal with an annual throughput capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters (approximately 600 cubic meters per hour). The underground tank has a capacity of 350000 cubic meters. There are also bulk cargo and finished oil terminals, with a maximum loading and unloading efficiency of 2500 cubic meters per hour for finished oil according to the type of oil. Marseille Port is the largest ship repair port in France, with 10 dry docks that can accommodate ships of up to 800000 tons. It can undertake various repairs, with an average of 1200 ships repaired annually, accounting for 70% of France's total ship repair volume. The main imported goods in Hong Kong are petroleum, coal, grains, timber, flour, ore, wool, vegetables, fruits, leather, sugar, sulfur, and metal products. The main exported goods are cement, machinery, refined oil, lime, soap, wine, and coffee. In 1994, the container throughput was 446000 TEUs, an increase of 3.5% compared to 1993. In 1992, the cargo throughput reached 90.14 million tons, an increase of 1.3% compared to 1993. The port has shipping connections with over 300 ports around the world, and 18 airlines operate with more than 60 countries. If necessary, overtime can be arranged during holidays. Special requirements for container ships in Ma Port: The port authority stipulates that "if there are large items on board or containers that cannot be self unloaded and require shore cranes, please notify the agent three days before arrival and provide detailed information on the location of the heavy cargo for early arrangements. Currently, the port authority is actively developing transit transportation and accepting transit goods through favorable conditions of container feeder ships and railways. In addition, barges can also be used to transport goods to the inland of France via the Rhone River. Recently, the Port Authority has conducted a feasibility study for the construction of a comprehensive logistics base covering 600000 square meters for Marseille Port. The construction of a logistics base is aimed at building the port into a general cargo transit base for shipping to all of Europe. This transit base not only has the functions of storage and transportation to Southern Europe and the Mediterranean, but also serves as a transportation center to Northern and Central Europe.
