Port Introduction

Ras Gharib is located on the west coast of the Gulf of Suez in the Red Sea and is one of the most important onshore and offshore oil industry centers in Egypt. Energy Core: This port is the main operational base of General Petroleum Company (GPC) in Egypt. Its core function is to serve as a crude oil gathering and transportation terminal for the surrounding dense oil fields. Logistics facilities: The port is equipped with specialized tanker loading facilities and offshore mooring systems (CBM/SBM), which can handle bulk crude oil exports and refinery raw material imports. Its land area has a huge tank farm, connected to Suez and Cairo through a pipeline network. Strategic position: Due to its location at the forefront of the Red Sea waterway, it plays an irreplaceable pillar role in ensuring Egypt's national energy security and oil transportation in the Red Sea region.
