Port Introduction
Located on the southwest coast of Croatia (full name: THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA), adjacent to the southeast side of the Adriatic Sea, it is one of the main seaports in southern Croatia. There is an international airport. The port has a subtropical Mediterranean climate with strong northeast winds in winter. The highest annual average temperature is about 33 ℃, and the lowest is about -3 ℃. The average annual rainfall is about 1300mm. The average tidal range is 0.3m during the high tide of the flood season and zero during the low tide; The high tide of Xiaoxun is 0.18m, and the low tide is 0.12m. There are 7 main berths in the port area, with a shoreline length of 994 meters and a maximum water depth of 11 meters. The loading and unloading equipment includes various shore cranes (with a maximum lifting capacity of 25 tons) and floating cranes for heavy cargo, but the ship should be equipped with loading and unloading equipment and their certificates. There are warehouses and storage yards on the dock. The anchorage of the large ship has a water depth of up to 40m. The characteristics of the free customs zone in this port are as follows: (1) mainly engaged in transit trade and processing industry; (2) There are various warehouses in the area, and after domestic goods are repackaged or processed, the country can issue a certificate of origin; (3) Foreign investment can establish joint ventures with domestic enterprises; (4) The equipment required for the construction of foreign factories and the storage and transportation of foreign goods into the zone are not subject to customs duties. However, production materials, semi-finished products, power fuels, and consumer materials consumed and used within the district are subject to import taxes; (5) It is not allowed to open shops for sale within the area, but they can supply materials and food needed by passing ships; (6) No one, including customs and district staff, is allowed to reside in the district; (7) The boundaries of the free customs zone are surrounded by walls, and the height, thickness, and materials of the walls are specified in legal provisions. After being inspected and confirmed by the customs, they are allowed to operate externally; (8) All expenses within the region are paid in Dinar by domestic companies and in US dollars by foreign companies, with accounting and trade countries adopting accounting methods. The main import and export goods in Hong Kong include timber, tobacco, bauxite, medicinal herbs, and miscellaneous goods. The annual cargo throughput capacity is about 2 million tons. During holidays, if necessary, industries can be arranged, but overtime pay should be paid. If a holiday falls on a Sunday, the next day will be a compensatory day off.
