Port Introduction
Canadian commercial port. Located on the left bank of the lower Saint Lawrence River in the eastern part of the country, at the confluence with the Saint Charles River, east of the port city. Outside the port, it is 139 nautical miles southwest of Montreal Port, 272 nautical miles northeast of Cartier Port, 699 nautical miles from the Belle Isle Strait, 551 nautical miles from the Cabot Strait, and 3148 nautical miles from the Cristobal Port at the northern entrance of the Panama Canal via the Windward Channel. There is a railway that crosses the North American continent to connect the unfrozen port of Vancouver on the west coast, and the unfrozen port of Halifax on the Nova Scotia Peninsula to the east. To the southwest, there are highways and railways that pass through the Three Rivers City to reach Montreal City, and to the northeast of the highway to the iron ore export port of Cartier Port and the Seven Islands Port (Setier). The port area is located on both sides of the Saint Charles River estuary and on the left bank of the Saint Lawrence River, outside the Saint Charles River Bridge. The main port areas include the BALTUR BEAUPOOT port area on the northwest bank of the Saint Charles River estuary, which has 5 deep-water berths (50-54 berths) and a shore facing design. Each berth is 210-213 meters long and has a water depth of 11.8-15.2 meters, especially the last two berths, which have a water depth of 15.2 meters. This is a large dry and wet bulk cargo port area. There are a total of 5 berths on the south bank of the Saint Charles River, with berths 27-29 being 293, 277, and 305 meters long. Water depth of 10.6-12.2 meters, used for products, grains, and long-distance trade; The 30th and 31st berths are each 224 meters long and 10.6 meters deep, and are also used for long-distance trade. VIEUX POTR Port Area is located in the southern land or concave water area of berths 28-30, adjacent to the Saint Lawrence River to the east. There are 6 berths in the harbor pool, with a water depth of only 3.9-8.8 meters, used for coastal ships; But there are 5 deep-water berths on both sides of the Saint Lawrence Coast at the entrance and exit, with a berth line of about 240 meters and a water depth of 11 meters. There are three berths on the north side, each with a berth line of about 240 meters and a water depth of 11 meters. Three berths on the north side are used for maritime trade, while two berths on the south side are used for passenger transportation. The ANSE AUX FOULONS port area is located upstream of the aforementioned port area, on the left bank of the St. Lawrence River, with a total of 8 berths along the shore, each with a length of about 200 meters. The water depth is 11.3 meters. Among them, berths 101-106 are used for ocean trade, and berths 107-108 are used for dry and wet bulk cargo. In addition, there is an oil and dry bulk cargo terminal on the left bank of the St. Lawrence River opposite the port area, with a maximum water depth of 16.4 meters and reliable 150000 ton oil tankers. There is also a shipyard terminal on the northeast right bank. There are nearly 60 berths in Hong Kong, especially for grain exports, as well as minerals, timber, forest products, etc; Imports mainly include petroleum, coal, fertilizers, salt, cement, steel plates, etc. Affected by the Labrador Current, there are four months of freezing in winter.
