Port Introduction

VARNA/Varna Port nature: Gulf Port Longitude and latitude: 43 ° 12'N, 027 ° 57'E Varna is located on the northwest coast of Varna Bay on the northeast coast of Bulgaria (full name: THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA), adjacent to the southwest side of the Black Sea (BLACK SEA), and is the largest port in Bulgaria. As early as 572 BC, the Thracians built a port here and it has long been a commercial hub. After the railway from Varna to the capital Sofia was opened in 1899, the port developed rapidly. Wa Port is a transportation hub connecting Central Europe and Istanbul, with regular ferry services between it and Odessa Port in Ukraine. The main industries are shipbuilding, followed by machine manufacturing, textiles, fish processing, flour and food processing. The loading and unloading equipment includes various shore cranes, mobile cranes, floating cranes, and winches, among which the maximum lifting capacity of the floating crane is 100 tons. The dock has a warehouse of 30000 m ∧<2>. Loading and unloading efficiency: 80-100 tons per cargo hold per day for general cargo, and 750-900 tons per ship per day for bulk cargo. The dock can accept various repairs, and the dry dock can accommodate up to 30000 deadweight tons of ships. In 1992, the container throughput was 28000 TEUs. The main imported goods are oil, natural gas, iron ore, and light industrial raw materials, while the exported goods mainly include machinery, grains, livestock, fertilizers, and food. During holidays, if necessary, homework can be arranged, but overtime pay should be paid.
