Port Introduction
Brazilian River Port. Located in the northern part of the country, at the confluence of the Amazon River and its tributary Taparos River, using the West Zone 3 standard. The maximum draft is 9.75 meters. The load density of water is 1000. The tidal range is 1.8 meters. The prevailing southeast wind. Not mandatory pilotage. Communication is carried out on the VHF channel 16 of the radio. Ships undergo health checks in Belen or Santa Anna. Working hours are arranged according to negotiation. Ships entering the port need to prepare documents for the regular routes of Belen, Manaus, and Makapa. The entrance channel of the port is 1200 meters wide, and the turning harbor pool is located at Negra Point. The dock berth line is 380 meters long, with 2 berths, one with a draft of 5.5 meters and the other with a draft of 9.8 meters. There are also several inland waterway berths with a draft of 2.7 meters.
