The tidal range during major floods is about 5.2m, and during minor floods it is about 3.2m. port location Located on the northwest coast of Belgium, on the southeast side of the North Sea, it is the second largest port in Belgium. The port area extends from Bruges to the seaside town of Zeebrurg, connected by a canal that is approximately 5 miles long. There is a train ferry service between the port and Harridge Port in the UK. Located approximately 10km from the Dutch border, Bruges was founded in the 15th century and is a maritime, commercial, and financial center in Belgium. At the end of the 19th century, the Belgian government decided to build a new port on the northern coast of Bruges, named Zebruge, which means' Bruges by the Sea '. Since its opening in 1907, by the 1960s, due to its unique geographical location, it had become a hub connecting the European continent with the United Kingdom and had undergone continuous development Distribution and berth situation in the port area Hong Kong is mainly divided into two port areas: the outer port area and the inner port area. There are no locks in the outer harbor area, and ships docking in the inner harbor area need to enter through locks. Outer port area: It is formed by land reclamation and includes bulk cargo terminals, container terminals, liquid natural gas storage terminals, and double decker roll on/roll off terminals. The total length of the dock shoreline is 10970m, with a maximum water depth of 20m, and can reliably accommodate ships with a load capacity of 150000 tons. Natural gas from Norway is transported through the 684nmile subsea natural gas pipeline to the terminal transfer station at the port, and then transported to the vast areas of central and southern Europe. Inner Port Area: The Inner Port Area has coal, ore, agricultural and sideline products, and container terminals with a total shoreline length of 3500m, with a water depth of 14m in the north and 18m in the south. The Inner Port Area is controlled by two ship locks, with a large ship lock length of 500m, width of 57m, and a depth of 18.5m. The coal terminal has 18-28 ton self-propelled cranes and 15 ton grab bucket loading and unloading bridges, with a daily loading capacity of 30000 tons. The yard has a capacity of 2 million tons and is equipped with screening equipment and trucks with electronic weighing. The coal unloading capacity reaches 60000 tons every 24 hours. Zegang has always been responsible for the transportation of goods and passengers between the European continent and the United Kingdom.
