Port Introduction
Australian non-ferrous metal export port. Located on the northeast coast of Spencer Bay in the southern part of the country, northeast of the port city, facing the southern Indian Ocean, 250 nautical miles southeast of Adelaide Port, 485 nautical miles to Portland Port, 655 nautical miles to Melbourne Port, 30 nautical miles west of Waiala Port, 40 nautical miles north of Augusta Port, and 50 nautical miles south of Wolarou Port. The port area is located on the southwest coast of Germein Bay, which is concave from north to south on the east coast of Spencer Bay. The waterway and harbor area have been dredged to a depth of 6.4 meters, with an average high tide of 2.65 meters and a low tide of 1.65 meters in the bay. During the day, ships with a length of 185 meters and a width of 27.5 meters are allowed to enter and exit the port. At night, ships with a maximum length of 178 meters are allowed to leave the port, and ships with a length of 165 meters are allowed to enter the port. There are 10 main berths in the port. Arrange from upstream to downstream: berth 1 is 152.4 meters long and 7.3 meters deep, used for loading and unloading general cargo; Berth 2 is used for loading and unloading bulk grain, with a length of 183 meters and a water depth of 8.23 meters. The efficiency of loading grain machines on the dock is 800 tons per hour; Berth 3 is an oil terminal, 198 meters long and 7.23 meters deep. Berths 5 and 6 are 182-198 meters long and 8.23 meters deep, used for exporting concentrate sand; Berths 7-9 are 145-180 meters long and 8.23 meters deep, used for exporting zinc, lead blocks, and ores; Berth 10 is used for importing coal, coke, and limestone. The port mainly serves the export of lead, zinc, silver and other mineral sands and smelting metals from the central and southern parts of the country, especially the Brohill non-ferrous metal mining area, while also exporting nearby grain; The main imports are coal, coke, petroleum, lime, etc. The annual import and export volume exceeds one million tons.
