Russia ports will increase port charges by 15% next year, and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia submitted a draft plan for the adjustment of port charges to the Russian Ministry of Justice.


The adjustment of port charges will be effective from January 1, 226, and the adjustment range is 15%. The Russian seaport infrastructure operator Rosmorport said that the FAS has submitted the relevant orders to the Ministry Justice for registration.


This adjustment involves the adjustment of fees for channel, navigation, lighthouse, and icebreaking services.


Rosmorport mentioned that the port charges were increased by 4.9% in 2024.


In addition, the investment port charges currently levied at 3 seaports in Russia are expected to increase year-on-year by 1.5 times to reach 11.84 billion rubles (about 52.3 million US dollars) in 2026. The draft orders published by the Russian Ministry of Transport show that the total investment port charges are expected to be174.3 million US dollars in 2027 and 189.7 million US dollars in 2028.


Port of about 103 million US dollars are expected to be collected this year. This fund will be used for the repair of hydraulic engineering buildings of ports and the shipbuilding projects Rosmorport.
