The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has confirmed that the Singapore-registered ferry Horizon 9 collided with the Marshall-registered oil tanker La Digue on November 10, 2025.

The incident occurred at around 5 p.m. local time when 39-meter-long ferry was en route to Marina Bay Center. It collided with an oil tanker, and the incident was reported to the MPA, which dispatched a vessel to provide assistance.

No injuries were reported among the crew and passengers on board the two vessels. The oil tanker was undamaged, while the ferrys bow received minor damage above the waterline but remained operational.

The MPA vessel arrived at the scene shortly after the accident and escorted the ferry to Marina Bay Center where all 165 passengers and 7 crew members disembarked safely.

It is understood that the collisions did not affect the shipping traffic or port operations. MPA has launched an investigation.

La Digue is an oil tanker built in 2011, measuring 183 meters in length and 32 meters in width.

Vessel traffic data shows that the ship had previously called at ports in China.

According to MarineTraffic data, the vessel is currently dock at the Port of Singapore.
