On September 24, the cargo ship "Sana" partially sank in the Persian Gulf waters, approximately two nautical miles south the Iranian island of Qeshm. Fortunately, the Iranian authorities successfully rescued all nine crew members.

The incident occurred at around 1:30 p.m. time, when the vessel, carrying 2,500 tons of white cement, was en route from Ras Al Khaimah (UAE) to Shuaiba Port in. Reports indicate that the ship took on a large amount of water, causing a severe list to its hull. Following the crew's distress signal, the Iranian authorities promptly responded byatching Rescue Boat No. 16, which safely evacuated all the crew members without any reports of injuries.

An investigation has been launched by the authorities to determine cause of the accident. Additionally, there are concerns about the potential environmental impact of any pollutants that may have been released from the vessel.
