On the 24th, ZIM released a customer notification that a fire occurred during the voyage of the container ship MV Colorado (ZB81/E) on the ZEX route. After preliminary assessment and emergency disposal, the current situation has been brought under control.
At the time of the incident, the was providing the Zim Ecommerce Xpress (ZEX) service, sailing from Yantian to Los Angeles. Due to the fire, and considering the safety of the entire, the container ship has been diverted to Busan Port in South Korea, and is expected to arrive late on the 26th.
The Colorado (IMO 973690, MMSI 255915688) is a container ship built in 2024, currently sailing under the of Portugal (Madeira).
