End-to-End Automotive Cargo Consolidation & Technical Export Clearance Across Egypt
Industry Sector: Automotive Aftermarket & Spare Parts
Executive Overview & Project Scope
Swift Logistics Solutions managed a multi-supplier automotive consolidation and sea export project from Egypt to the United Arab Emirates. The operation involved collecting out-of-warranty spare parts for Stellantis brands (Fiat, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, Citroen, Opel, DS) and major Egyptian automotive distributors, including Ezz El Arab, Mansour Automotive, El Tarek Automotive, Aboghaly Motors, Arab American Vehicles, and the Arab Organization for Industrialization.
The cargo comprised diverse automotive components, including engines, transmission parts, body panels, glass, rooftops, tires, brake pads, radiators, and batteries.
Operational Execution & Value-Added Logistics
--Nationwide Site Surveys & Collection: SLS field teams conducted site audits across Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Mansoura, Asyut, and Upper Egypt. Overseveral months, SLS coordinated a hybrid fleet of small urban trucks and heavy regional transport to consolidate all cargo at the central SLS warehouse.
--Regulatory Engineering & Technical Compliance: Local suppliers lacked export documentation, Material Safety Data Sheets, and technical manifests. SLS established chemical and transport safety compliance for hazardous items like batteries and radiators. Working with Egyptian customs authorities, local truckers, brokers, and shipping lines, SLS secured all export licenses, permits, and ocean vessel bookings.
--Full Contract Logistics: SLS cataloged inventory to generate Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists, bundled irregular parts, strapped cargo onto heat-treated wooden pallets, and managed container stuffing, lashing, and weight distribution.
Key Achievements:
SLS converted undocumented inventory across ten automotive brands into fully certified, export-cleared ocean freight. Through custom palletization and container bracing, SLS delivered a zero-damage record upon
arrival in the UAE, providing a turnkey supply chain solution from local collection to final port discharge.

JULIUS NYERERE HYDROPOWER PROJECT
1. Executive Summary
The Julius Nyerere Hydropower Project is one of the most significant infrastructure endeavors in modern African history. Constructed by an Egyptian Joint Venture led by the Arab Contractors Company, this dam is a symbol of Egyptian engineering excellence abroad.
Swift Logistics Solution - SLS was selected to handle the critical freight forwarding and logistics operations for this mega-project.
2. The Challenge: A Logistics Giant
Moving an entire construction presented unique challenges:
- Massive Scale: The shipment volume was immense, supporting the construction of a dam with a 2,115 MW capacity.
- Cargo Diversity: We had to move everything required for the build. This included small "hand tools" and sensitive "advertising materials" alongside massive "cement trucks," "loaders," and heavy building materials.
3. SLS Solution: From A to Z
SLS acting not just as a shipper, but as a complete logistics extension of the Arab Contractors Company.
Phase 1: Strategic Planning & Survey
Before a single container moved, SLS teams conducted on-site surveys at shipper facilities.
- Cargo Survey: Assessed the dimensions, weight, and fragility of every item.
- Loading Plans: Engineered precise "Stuffing Plans" to maximize container space and ensure weight distribution.
Phase 2: Specialized Loading & Lashing
We deployed our own staff, cranes, and labor force to the shipper's site.
- Heavy Lift: We arranged and operated high-capacity cranes to load heavy earth-moving equipment.
- Professional Lashing: Our team executed certified lashing and securing for all cargo inside containers and on flat racks to ensure zero movement during the ocean voyage.
Phase 3: Multi-Modal Transport
SLS utilized a diverse fleet mix:
- Ocean Freight: * Dry Containers: For general building materials and tools.
- Flat Racks: For oversized machinery that could not fit in standard boxes.
- Open Tops: For top-loading heavy equipment.
- RORO (Roll-on/Roll-off): For self-propelled units like loaders and cement trucks.
- Air Freight: For urgent, time-critical equipment and smaller shipments needed immediately on-site.
