The Herfurth Group active since 1899, has continuously expanded and is now active in the different fields of the transportation chain such as: shipping agency, chartering and brokerage, logistics and forwarding, airfreight, customs clearance, consolidation, warehousing, stuffing and stripping, road transport, container depot, maintenance and repair of containers and chassis and terminal equipment, travel agencies and back-office services. Today the group is present in 16 locations and employs in total 500 people in 6 different countries. The head-office is located in Antwerp, Belgium. Other offices are in the Netherlands, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Iran (Teheran). The group's philosophy is based on the creation of a number of independent self-governing companies or organisations, called Front Offices, supported by a large administrative entity, called Back Office. Thorough knowledge of the market and its mentality, a long-standing relationship with the customers, financial strength and a performant administrative and ICT support enabled the Group to build up a reputation of reliability, both locally and internationally
