The Bechtrans Group of Companies, an Australian organization, was established in Melbourne, Australia in 1981, as a privately owned Ocean Freight Forwarder / N.V.O.C.C. In the initial years, Bechtrans concentrated primarily on the U.S. inbound market requirements of its customers and gained a reputation for sound, reliable service in that area. Recognising the need for high quality services from other areas around the world, Bechtrans set in motion a program to expand into other areas of International Forwarding services, at the same time opening offices or appointing agents in all Australian capital cities to facilitate delivery or collection throughout Australia. In addition to its own offices, Bechtrans International works with a select group of Transport Professionals in all major trading centres of the world, to help provide the standard of service for Australian Importers and Exporters alike. As recognition of our efforts towards Total Customer Satisfaction and our continued growth within the international transport community, Bechtrans International gained listing in the coveted "Top 12" BRW - Price Waterhouse Fastest Growing Private companies, throughout Australia.On the 1st March 2002, Bechtrans International changed its name to BTi Logistics Pty Ltd in order to better reflect its current activities in Total Supply Chain management.
