Project Cargo Case Study - Singapore to Chennai and Nhava Sheva

Polaris Shipping Lines successfully completed a project cargo shipment from Singapore to Chennai and Nhava Sheva, India. The shipment involved heavy industrial machinery that required detailed planning, secure handling, and close operational coordination.

Before loading, our operations team inspected the cargo and prepared a loading plan based on the cargo dimensions, weight distribution, and Flat Rack container specifications. Wooden dunnage was placed to provide stable support and evenly distribute the load across the container.

The machinery was carefully positioned on the Flat Rack using suitable lifting equipment. Heavy duty polyester lashing belts were applied according to cargo securing requirements to prevent any movement during road transport, port handling, and ocean transportation.

After lashing was completed, the cargo was covered with heavy duty waterproof tarpaulin to protect it from weather exposure during storage and transit. Every stage of the operation was supervised by our experienced operations team to ensure compliance with project cargo handling standards.

Throughout the shipment, our team coordinated closely with the warehouse, transporter, terminal, shipping line, and customer. Regular updates were provided to ensure complete visibility until the cargo was successfully loaded on board the vessel.

The shipment was completed safely and on schedule without any cargo damage or operational issues.
