The following is a presentation on a complex and rewarding project handled by Afianci: the importation of the largest plastic injection machine in Latin America.

This operation involved a total of eight containers, including four 40-foot High Cube (40'HC) and four 40-foot Flat Rack (40'FR) containers. The cargo originated in Ningbo, China, and was successfully delivered to Pecem, Brazil.

What made this project so unique was not just the size of the machine, but the intricate logistics required to handle the oversized parts on the Flat Racks. This operation was particularly notable because it was handled as Breakbulk cargo, a specialized logistics solution for items that do not fit into standard containers due to their size, weight, or irregular shape.

The asphalt plant was transported in several large components, each one carefully handled and stowed individually on the vessel. Meticulous planning was essential to ensure the cargo's safety, coordinate with the vessel's crew, and meet all port requirements.

As the logistics partner, Afianci was responsible for the entire process, from cargo pickup and stowage coordination at the origin port to safe delivery at the destination.
