Recently, the ONE official website released the latest progress of the "ONE HENRY HUDSON" ship fire incident. Aftering in the Port of Los Angeles for a week, the ship is still waiting for the start of the fire wastewater clearance operation.

The "M/V ONE HRY HUDSON" has been transferred to the Yusen Terminal (YTI) of the Port of Los Angeles and docked at Berth 212. Beforeing, it was reported that the fire had been completely extinguished.

Due to the use of a large amount of water in the firefighting operation in some cargo, the ship must first deal with this water before further inspection can be carried out.

The shipowner and the designated salvage company are currently making necessary arrangements for the treatment. Although the current situation is still not clear, it is expected that it will take at least a week to start the drainage operation.

In addition, even if the ship the drainage, any operation to unload the cargo from the "ONE HENRY HUDSON" still requires the permission of the U.S. Coast Guard.

"ONE HENRY HUDSON" has declared general average, which means that the shipper must bear part of the salvage costs, and the shipper must also pay security deposit to take delivery of the goods after they are unloaded from the ship.

The ONE Henry Hudson arrived at the Port of Los Angeles on November 19th having previously called at ports such as Tokyo, Nagoya, and Kobe. The ship's fire began on Friday night, with nearly 200 people initially involved in theing operation. In the early hours of Saturday, the ship was towed to an anchorage outside the port breakwater, while the firefighting operation continued. No injuries were reported this incident.
