Wan Hai Lines has recently announced the launch of its latest initiative: the India-East Mediterranean Service (IM2), which will commence operations on June 1, 2025.
The IM2 service is the newest addition to Wan Hai's global network and aims to provide direct and reliable connections between major ports in India and the Eastern Mediterranean. This move significantly enhances port coverage and regional connectivity.
The IM2 service will be operated in partnership with Emirates Shipping Line FZE, deploying a total of four vessels. Wan Hai Lines will operate one of the four vessels, each with a nominal capacity of 2,700 to 2,800 TEUs.
The maiden voyage is scheduled to depart from Mundra Port on June 1, 2025. The service will follow a fixed 28-day round-trip schedule, with port rotation as follows: Mundra – Jeddah – Suez – Alexandria – Mersin – Suez – Jeddah – Mundra.
In addition, Wan Hai Lines has launched the Tamil Nadu-Thailand Express (TTX) service to further expand its network, providing direct connections from Vietnam and Thailand to Eastern India.
