Guillaume Sauzedde, who has more than 25 years of experience in the logistics, is no stranger to Maersk's largest region, having joined the company in 2024 as Head of Logistics and Services for Europe. He has previously the position of CEO at CEVA Logistics, where he was in charge of the Central and Eastern Europe and Middle East and Africa regions, and at DHL, where he CEO of Poland and Senior Vice President of Contract Logistics for Central and Eastern Europe.
Guillaume Sauzedde looks forward to continuing to serve customers together with the excellent he has got to know over the past 16 months at Maersk. In recent years, Maersk has established a broad logistics business footprint in Europe, owning and key assets and having expertise in every part of the supply chain. It is very exciting, in these times of great changes, to be able to offer such a strong and unique business our customers and to provide them with end-to-end solutions that are resilient and create value.
Guillaume Sauzedde takes over from Aymeric Chandavo, who has left Maersk to take on a new position outside of the industry at the end of the year. Sauzedde, who lives in Warsaw, will be in the Maersk main office in the Polish capital, while also regularly visiting the headquarters in Copenhagen.
Since January 2026, several appointments have come into, involving management changes across various regions.

As of January 1, 2026, Theeuwes has taken on the role of General Manager for India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. He brings nearly two decades of global expertise, having most recently served as the Regional Director for West Africa, and having held senior commercial and leadership positions in Europe, China and Africa since joining Maersk in 2007 in Belgium.
The General Manager for the region, Christopher Cook, will take the role of General Manager for the UK and Ireland. Cook joined Maersk as an intern in 2002 has worked in various locations across Africa, Europe, the Middle East and India over the last two decades. He has spent the past 7 years in the IMEA region, as Regional Managing Director for UAE leading the integration and transformation of the business, and then as Regional Managing Director for IBS driving the execution of the strategy and improving operational performance and.
· North America and India, Middle East and Africa
As of January 1, 2026, Ditlev Blicher has taken on the of President for North America. Blicher, a logistics industry veteran, joined Maersk in 2020 and has held the position of President for Asia Pacific. to joining Maersk, he held senior positions at DB Schenker, UTi Worldwide and CEVA Logistics. He will work closely with the North America team to the company's transformation towards a full-service logistics provider, delivering sustainable growth, strengthening operations and providing best-in-class service.
Charles van der Steene who has served as President for North America since January 2024, will take the role of Managing Director for Maersk India, Middle East and Africa. He served Regional Managing Director for Damco from 2016 to 2019, before its merger with Maersk in 2019
