Recently, under the meticulous guidance of the Ningbo City Public Security Management Detachment (Marine Management Detachment) the Xiangshan County Public Security Bureau of Ningbo City, in conjunction with the Ningbo Port of Entry and Exit and other relevant departments, launched a thunderous strike and successfully investigated a case suspected of carrying out cross-border smuggling activities using a roll-on cargo ship.

During this operation, law enforcement personnel seized 63 of smuggled frozen goods on the spot, and 7 suspects were captured immediately. In addition, one vessel and five vehicles involved in the case were also seized. Preliminary indicate that the value of the case exceeds 3 million yuan.

Previously, after a meticulous investigation of clues, the joint task force focused its attention on a-registered roll-on cargo ship named "Heda 6" operating in the Xiangshan sea area. The ship's behavior was exceptionally suspicious, and it was suspected illegal activities such as unauthorized entry and exit and smuggling. However, the local maritime conditions were complex, and the suspects' modus operandi was extremely covert, undoubtedly posing a challenge to the investigation of the case. The joint task force carefully planned, established two arrest teams—one for the sea and one for land—and formulated multiple sets of thorough operational to ensure the action could be carried out without fail.

On the night of the arrest, the maritime arrest team lurked at sea, taking advantage of the cover of darkness and kept a close watch on the target vessel's every move. The land arrest team, on the other hand, was ready and waiting along the nearby shoreline, setting up tight arrest net. At 11 p.m. that night, the target vessel finally appeared in the law enforcement officers' field of vision. The maritime and land arrest forces simultaneously, quickly seizing control of the vessel and the personnel on board, and a large amount of smuggled frozen goods such as beef and pork stomachs were seized on the. Meanwhile, the vehicles and personnel on land that were responsible for the follow-up were also captured in full.

At present, the relevant suspects have been taken criminal coerc measures according to law, and the case is being further investigated.
