December 9th marked a milestone for Taizhou's foreign trade development. On this day, the "Wan Tiao Gratitude" multi-purpose vessel set sail from Taizhou's Toumen Port in Zhejiang, carrying containerized cargo destined for Tanzania in Africa. departure signifies the official launch of the first direct foreign trade route from "Taizhou to Africa Tanzania," akin to building a maritime bridge directly to the African market foreign trade enterprises in Taizhou and even the surrounding areas of Zhejiang.

It is understood that during this voyage, the "Wan Tiao Lu Grat" transported a total of 134 standard containers, with a total value of 35 million. Additionally, the ship itself is also a special "cargo," in Wenling, Taizhou. This voyage marks its "debut."

In the past, goods from Taizhou destined for Africa had to transit through like Yiwu and Ningbo, making the entire transportation process time-consuming, approximately 60 days. However, with the opening of this direct route, the transport has been significantly reduced to 27 days, resulting in a notable improvement in logistics efficiency.

The launch of this route is an important practice of Taizhou actively integrating the "Belt and Road" construction. It not only opens up a direct maritime passage to the African market but also reduces the logistics costs for enterprises, making exported products more competitive price, thereby injecting new vitality into trade between China and Africa.
