On November 18th local time, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) of the United States held a hearing on the major accident of the cargo ship "Dali" colliding with a bridge in Baltimore last March, and officially approved the detailed investigation results of the accident at the meeting

During the hearing, investigators disclosed some key situations before the accident in detail. They pointed out that the cargo ship involved in the accident had encountered two consecutive power failures before the. The first failure was caused by the looseness of the wires on the ship, and the second failure was caused by a problem with the fuel pump.

Invest further analyzed that, after in-depth investigation and comprehensive judgment, this accident was most likely caused by the hidden danger of the signal line connection looseness, which eventually triggered power failure. The appearance of the power failure directly led to the loss of normal control of the cargo ship when it was about to approach the bridge, resulting in an out-ofcontrol collision with the bridge.

The National Transportation Safety Board also specially mentioned: After the police received the notice that traffic needed to be blocked, it took 89 seconds the cargo ship to heavily collide with the bridge. The committee believes that if the construction workers had received the relevant notice at the same time as the police, they would have had of time to drive to a safe area. In this way, the lives of those 6 workers might not have been lost.
