The Maritime Safety Administration of Guangdong Province released a message that on November 10th, the container ship "PAPU" was reported have lost control and was adrift, with a general position of 22°54′58″N 117°42′30″E

PAPU (IMO 9377561, MMSI 636025016) is a container ship built in 008, currently flying the flag of Liberia.

The vessel was en route from the Port of Nava Sheva in India (officially known as "awaharlal Nehru Port") to the Port of Qingdao in China, and was scheduled to arrive on November 11th
