According to Indian media reports, a cargo ship named "Haridasan" caught fire at the Subhashnagar terminal in Porbandar Gujarat, India, carrying 950 tons of rice and 100 tons of sugar.


On Monday, a cargo ship carrying rice and sugar fromnagar caught fire at the Subhashnagar terminal in Porbandar.


After the fire broke out, the fire department dispatched three fire engines and a fire hydrant to control the flames. As the fire spread, the cargo ship, which was heading towards the important port of Bosaso in northern Somalia (on the coast of the Gulf ofen, under the jurisdiction of the Puntland state), was towed out to open water to prevent further damage.


The cargo ship, named "Haridasan" is operated by HRM & Sons company in Jamnagar.


Due to the presence of diesel among the cargo, the fire intensified, and authorities to tow the vessel about one kilometer away from the dock and eventually drag it out to sea about 100 kilometers from the shore to prevent further damage and risk to the.


The Coast Guard assisted in the firefighting efforts; however, the flames grew more intense due to the cargo of rice, sugar, and diesel on board. In the, the Porbandar fire brigade remained on standby, closely monitoring the situation.
