On September 16th, at the Port of Tema, Ghana, New vessel held a significant naming ceremony for its latest.
The star of the naming ceremony was an 8200 TEU LNG dual-fuel container ship – the “Kota Odyssey” (Chinese name “城”) – part of the company’s new “O” class of vessels.
Pacific Navigation’s regional headquarters and local company have long been dedicated to promoting connectivity ports and intermodal transport, contributing significantly to the development of logistics in Ghana. With the deployment of this advanced vessel, Pacific Navigation will play an even more vital role in strengthening Ghanas trade connections with Asia and its neighboring countries in West Africa.
The Kota Odyssey will be deployed on Pacific Navigation’s weekly direct service – the South West Africa (SWS). This route connects important countries and regions such as China, Singapore, Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, and Côte d'Ivoire, serving a vital gateway for trade between Asia and West Africa.
With the addition of the Kota Odyssey , this route will be further reinforced, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of transportation and promoting the prosperity of trade among the countries along the route. It will also solidify Ghana’s position as a strategic logistics hub in the region, allowing Ghana to play even more critical role in regional trade.
