According to CCTV News, on the 25th, a fire broke out in a warehouse at Germany’s largest port, Hamburg Port, which triggered an explosion and left several people injured.

Following the fire and explosion, the fire department responded swiftly, dispatching multiple fire engines and ambulances to the scene while organizing an orderly evacuation of nearby personnel.

Local police revealed that debris from the explosion was scattered widely, reaching a nearby highway. To ensure the safety of passing vehicles and pedestrians, police implemented a full closure of the affected section in both directions.

Hamburg Port is located in Hamburg, northern Germany. According to its official website, it is not only Germany’s largest universal port but also ranks as the third-largest in Europe, serving as one of the world’s most critical sea-rail intermodal hubs.

In the first half of 2025, Hamburg Port reported a 3.6% increase in seaborne cargo throughput and a 9.3% rise in container throughput, reflecting a steady growth trend overall.
