Hapag-Lloyd has announced a General Rate Increase (GRI) for shipments from Asia to Latin America. The adjustment will apply to 20' and 40' dry containers, including high cubes and 40' non-operating reefers.
The GRI will take effect on April 22, 2025, for all destinations listed in this notice—except Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, where it will apply from May 15, 2025.
The increase will remain in effect until further notice. Details of the hike are as follows:
Origin: Asia
China, Macau, Taiwan (China), Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Laos, and Brunei.
Latin America
Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Chile, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
