Mediterranean Shipping Company's New Rates for April! Far East to Mediterranean
Recently, MSC announced new rates for all Far East ports (including but not limited to ports in Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia) effective from April 1, 2025, but not later than April 14, 2025, for shipments from these Far East ports to the Mediterranean (including West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Adriatic Sea, North Africa) and Black Sea ports.
Unless otherwise stated, all prices are quoted in U.S. dollars.
The rates above include:
- Basic rate (i.e., ocean freight) and the following surcharges:
- GFS (Global Fuel Surcharge) - VATOS $137/274/274, valid until April 2025.
- Subject to the following restrictions:
- CLS (Carbon Limitation Surcharge) - VATOS $20/TEU
- CRS (Carbon Review Surcharge) - VATOS $73/TEU
- FAK excludes all IMO category goods and high-value goods.
- Terminal handling surcharges and other applicable fees may also apply. For more details, please consult the shipping company.
This is MSC's second recent rate update. Earlier, MSC announced new FAK rates for shipments from Far East ports (including but not limited to Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia) to Northern Europe ports, starting April 1, 2025, with rates set at $2400 and $4000, respectively.
