In the afternoon of December 17th, a fire suddenly broke out on the livestock carrier "Zein I" during maintenance work at the Keystar Shipyard, which is located in the jurisdiction of the port authority in the Tuzla region of Turkey. At this time, there have been no reports of injuries or.


The fire originated in the cargo hold and soon enveloped the entire ship in thick smoke. Firefighting teams quickly rushed to the scene and, after about an hour and half of extinguishing work, the fire was brought under control. As a precautionary measure, cooling operations continued thereafter.


At present, the relevant departments have launched investigation into the cause of the fire.


The "Zein I" is a vessel built in 1978 and flies the flag of Panama. The ship is163.02 meters long and 22.66 meters wide.
