On December 12, Maersk announced the appointment of Robert Erni as its next Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and of the Executive Board.
Swiss national Robert Erni has over 30 years of experience in the finance function in the global logistics industry.
The current CFO, Patrick Jany, will be responsible for the year-end closing and the annual report, which will be published on February 5, after which the change be officially effective.
Robert Erni has worked in various senior finance positions at Kuehne Nagel for 20 years and has gained experience China, Hong Kong, India, Argentina, the USA, and Switzerland. He then served as CFO of Panalpina Group until its acquisition by DSV. Most recently, held the position of CFO at Dachser Group, which is one of the world's leading providers of logistics solutions.
Maersk CEO Vincent Cl stated that Robert Erni has deep roots in the global logistics industry and a proven track record of driving process and cost efficiency improvements and business growth on a global scale.
Earlier this month, Maersk announced two major personnel appointments【Maersk announces major personnel appointments】, involving management changes in the regions of India, Bangladesh, and Sri, as well as the UK and Ireland. Specifically, Thomas Theeuwes was appointed as the new General Manager for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka; and Christopher Cook serve as the General Manager for Maersk in the UK and Ireland.
