The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) announced that a new shipping service, the China-Red Sea route, operated by Global Feed Shipping LLC, Regional Container Line (RCL), and TS Lines, will be added to the Port of Jeddah Islamic.


The new route is expected to global trade flows, strengthen supply chains, and enhance the operational efficiency of the port.


The new service connects the Port of Jeddah Islamic with key ports in China including Shanghai, Qingdao, Nansha, and Shekou, as well as the Port of Suez in Egypt and the Port of Aqaba in Jordan


The Port of Jeddah Islamic features 62 multi-purpose berths, a logistics park for storage and re-export, and a direct trucking system and from the port. The facility is also equipped with specialized terminals, advanced equipment, and dedicated maritime service berths for tugboats and pilotage, with a total handling capacity 130 million tons.


Last month, the Saudi Ports Authority signed a contract with Hizon International Logistics to establish a logistics area for the unloading and of containers at King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
