A.P. Moller – Maersk has inaugurated a new Maersk Ground Operations Freight (MGF station in Savannah, Georgia, marking a significant step in its ongoing efforts to strengthen its integrated logistics network in the United States.



The 20,00-square-foot facility, equipped with three loading and unloading docks and a dedicated fleet, will provide pick-up and delivery (P&D) services to Savannah market, serving customers with faster speeds, higher reliability, and stronger local control.



Savannah is a critical piece in Maersk’s evolving US. network, which is anchored by the Port of Savannah, one of the fastest-growing gateways in North America. With its prime location offering direct access to Interstate 9 and Interstate 16, the facility provides efficient connections to key markets in the Southeast U.S., such as Atlanta, Jacksonville, Charleston, and Charlotte. This freight stationments Maersk’s existing contract logistics site in Savannah and the recent openings of MGF facilities in Lake City, Georgia and Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, collectively building a ecosystem of integrated services.
