The most important factor in running a logistics company is effective communication and coordination and providing excellent service. Logistics involves working with multiple stakeholders—suppliers, customers, and transporters and it’s crucial to ensure everyone is aligned and has accurate information. Building strong relationships with partners and clients, using digital tools to improve efficiency, and having a solid risk management strategy are also key to long-term success.

In the Philippines, the logistics industry is growing fast, particularly in imports, as we are primarily an importing country. Unfortunately, the export percentage remains low due to limited support for local products. As a result, the container yards for re-exporting containers have become congested. The economy is facing several challenges, including a decline in growth, which has contributed to rising fuel prices. These economic pressures have impacted various aspects of the logistics sector, such as higher trucking rates, increased commodity prices, and the return of empty containers from imports. While the government is making efforts to improve transportation networks and regulations, the logistics market remains highly competitive, with both local and global players striving for

innovation and efficiency.


5. Would you please talk about your strategy to explore foreign market?

Our strategy for exploring foreign markets involves a few key steps. First, we research local demand and regulations. By attending network events and meeting foreign agents from different countries, we gain insights into the most traded commodities in various regions.

This helps us introduce potential opportunities to our clients for future growth. Second, we form strategic partnerships with local companies to use their expertise and networks. We also prioritize digitalization and the use of technology to improve our logistics solutions.

Having a skilled and knowledgeable workforce is crucial for the success of any company. Portugal freight forwarding market grew at a positive Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) during the last years, mainly driven by increase in infrastructure investments and in exports. This sector is an essential part of the country's logistics and transportation industry and plays a crucial role in facilitating the movement of goods domestically and internationally.

Our freight forwarding market is expected to continue to grow, driven by increase in trading in the country, also impacted by the continuous government investment in developing the logistics infrastructure in Portugal.

Several situations contribute to this growth and expansion of the market, with road and air freight dominating in terms of revenue. Due to the development in the road infrastructure and costs associated, road freight is observed to be the most preferred mode of transportation, followed by air and sea freight. It is worth reinforcing that international freight dominates the Portugal freight forwarding market in terms of revenue.

Regarding the Sea area, Portugal has several major ports, which handle a significant amount of cargo, with modern infrastructure and a wide range of services to accommodate each type of cargo, including container shipments.
