Robert E. Landweer & Co., Inc. is one of the Pacific Northwest's oldest and most experienced customhouse brokerage firms. Established and licensed in Seattle, Washington in 1936 by Robert E. Landweer himself, the company flourished during the Alaska immigration of the 1930's and 1940's. It gradually expanded its services to include all functions required of a customhouse brokerage firm as authorized by the U.S. Customs Service, an agency of the U.S. Treasury Department, the Department of Transportation, through its federal agency, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Federal Maritime Commission. In 1952 Robert E. Landweer Co. was incorporated. Since then, we have been privileged to participate in the dynamic growth and expansion of the Puget Sound region, one of the nation's most important centers of international trade and commerce.
