The container ship "WAN HAI A19", which is part of the Wan Hai Shipping fleet, successfully two people drifting at sea on November 6, 2025 (UTC), while crossing the East Pacific Ocean.

At present, the two rescued individuals remain on "WAN HAI A19" container ship, where the crew has provided them with warm clothing, food, drinking water, and has continued to monitor their health condition.
Under the coordination of the Rescue Coordination Center Alameda, the "WAN HAI A19" is currently heading towards the nearest designated meeting point off the coast Guatemala, where the two survivors will be safely handed over to the relevant receiving agencies. This rescue operation not only fulfilled the obligations of the container ship under the International Convention on Maritime and Rescue but also reflected Wan Hai Shipping's deep respect for human life and commitment to humanitarian assistance.
